About This Pipe
Man. I totally love this shape. When I saw this pipe in the tray, I thought "Fish". Upon pulling up the data, however, I saw that it was titled "ball". Dr. Heding is quite conscientious in providing us with the name of a shape, and if he called it a Bronze Grade, sandblasted ball? This is one describing chimp that isn't about to question the carver's choice, but simply investigate where my mental assignation went wrong. No defining ridge running from the fore of the bowl to the underside of the mount ("D'OH!"). Still, much like the Fish, this pipe exudes an incredible amount of charm, as well as an impression of curiosity that is created with the upturn of the bowl. I've often said that Peter Heding can pack a ton of smile into a smaller package, and this pipe does nothing to dissuade my notion.
