About This Pipe
I'll admit to being on the fence about the shape designation for this particular piece from Johs. Typically the briar's shank needs to be considerably longer, relative to the height of the bowl, in order for a Billiard-style piece to be considered a Lovat. However, since he used a bowl of such obviously exaggerated height, I'd wager what he was going for was a Lovat/Stack hybrid.
