About This Pipe
When it comes to a shaping aesthetic, Nanna tends to "walk the middle way" within the Ivarsson dynasty. While, like her father, Nanna builds shapes around painfully clean, arcing central lines, her compositions tend to reflect a greater restraint and conservatism than Lars. This marvelous bent apple continues the tradition of building around the previously mentioned arc, but the line (best seen from the bottom view) is quite subtle. The emphasis of this apple is the dazzling, spherical bowl and its interplay with the delightfully thick shank. The boxwood mount and Nanna's signature take on the saddle bit imbue this masterpiece with a charming sense of the compact.
