About This Pipe
There is a reason that there are so many Billiards and bent Billiards out there. This is a shape that inherently lends itself to change without the sensation of "reinventing the wheel". The height of the bowl allows for a large enough tobacco chamber while the round sides keep it comfortable to grasp. Peterson's own rendition of the over-sized bent Billiard, the "XL90", is a great example of their meaty, masculine approach to pipe design. The wide shank and tapered stem give the composition a lot of visual weight, eschewing delicacy in favor of presence and robustness of form.
