About This Pipe
The System Standard series, complete with the nickel army mount (there used to be, but is no longer, a System Deluxe with a silver army mount), used to be comprised of just the smooth and the rustic. In the past few years, Peterson introduced the lovely jet-black Ebony finish to the System line and I think it looks particularly good all dressed up in black like this. The nickel mount plays foil against the high polish black bowl and stem, creating a particularly elegant composition.
