About This Pipe
The pairing of the silver rim and silver band at the end of the shank of this pipe is a superb example of the skill with which Peterson works in metal. The English Pot is often rendered either as a solid, straightforward number, or as a little light-stemmed, square-bowled pocket pipe. The "606" falls rather obviously into the former category, though the smoothness about the heel and transition does soften its aesthetic, especially in profile, quite noticeably.
