About This Pipe
As a man living in the new world, I find a special fascination in a series of pipes that celebrates grand castles, some of which were built as early as the seventh century. While I'll grant you the United States has some older buildings, at least in my area an example of a historic edifice is a Chicken Shack that was built in the 60's. The beautiful tankard in front of you was crafted as homage to Castle Malahide, a staggeringly impressive manse that has been under the control of a single family for close to 7 1/2 centuries. As a property owner who can't even envision remaining in his house until the end of his 30 year mortgage, the sense of near timeless continuity that this pipe represents imparts an impressive sense of comfort.
