About This Pipe
I love Peterson's renditions of the bulldog shape. The thick shanks often seen on these pieces beautifully emphasize the stout masculine proportions of the bulldog shape. This particular variation, Peterson's "150" shape, is traditionally sculpted, yet a handsome example of this design. It is presented here in the excellent Supreme finish, sporting a light, warm stain, plenty of vertical grain, and a tasteful gold band fitted around the end of the shank.
