Dublin Silver (XL02) Fishtail Tobacco Pipe

The Peterson Dublin series has been produced off-and-on for years, targeted specifically towards the European market. Between the intermittent production and their normally being reserved for the Continent and British Isles, it should come as little surprise that Smokingpipes.com are the only ones to get them in North America - and even then only when Sykes special orders them at the Peterson factory. They're worth the trouble however, featuring some of Peterson's best briar, handsome finishes, and bright sterling silver bands, all in classic Peterson designs. The XL02 features a classic Apple shaped bowl paired with a thick shank and a tapered stem. The visual weight of the shank relative to that of the bowl is a hallmark of Peterson's approach to shaping and much of what makes it distinctive from what we tend of think of as the classic English approach to pipe design.
