About This Pipe
Make no mistake: The Peterson "XL90" is one solid, stoutly formed bent Billiard, with a nice, full-bodied feel in hand. This is not, of course, to say that it lacks for graceful shaping. It is a Peterson, after all. This "XL90" is a proud example of the St. Patrick's Day 2012 edition which are made of such quality briar that the emerald green might not have accentuated the lovely grain as much. So instead we get a solid contrast stain with darker mahogany defining the grain while a lighter burnt-orange stain was then applied, completing the rich color cast.
