About This Pipe
This masterpiece is a wonderful fusion of Danish and Japanese elements.. and the carver is American. I have looked at this bowl for nearly 30 minutes and, with each new glance I see something new within. There are moments when I wee a water spout. Changing angles, and looking though "new eyes", I can see an abstract musical instrument, heck, from the dead front, I can see a chubby nudibranch (a type of sea slug). Anchoring this dynamic body is a painfully pretty, five knuckle piece of bamboo, flanked on each end by delicate rings of horn. This composition is finished with a short throw saddle bit that would make any master proud.
