Sandblasted Lovat with Boxwood Tobacco Pipe

This handsome lovat was created from an extremely dense piece of briar. As a result, the sandblasting left behind ultra fine spider webs of fan grain, a marvel to behold. The lines of this pipe are clean, bold, and the composition is masculine in proportion. When I see intricate shapes from a newer carver, my first reaction is "ok, now show me a standard shape". This carver's got the right stuff.
