About This Pipe
Radice's Underwood finish is quite singular in its ability to take even as simple a shape as the straight billiard, and turn it into something both soft and rustic and organic all at once. The warmth of the deep amber hues used in the staining certainly helps to bring out to the utmost the melting-wax themed carving. Impressive visuals aside, the Underwood finish also serves to make the briar all the more pleasing in hand; remaining quite smooth in texture, yet with plenty of bumps and ridges and the like to fidget with endlessly.
