About This Pipe
Savinelli started this pipe with the intention of creating an Autograph, that is why all of the Naturale Handmade series, like the Autographs, sport a handcrafted shape. Something popped up during the carve or blast that caused the carver to judge that the finished pipe wouldn't have quite what it took to be an Autograph. Still, with hand shaping and an interlocking pattern of ring and straight grain of this quality to discard would be insanity. Stamp it "Handmade Naturale", recoup some money from the work, and give the customer one heck of a deal on an "almost high grade". Sounds like a heck of a plan to me.
