About This Pipe
This "513" is a wonderful Italian example of a four square panel design. The rounded corners smooth the transition from panel to panel and the squared shank accentuates the angular theme of the panel design. The long shank definitely required a good size block of briar to even attempt this design and it was a good one too. The radiating flame grain on the panels streaks towards the rim while birdseye graces the heel and belly of the shank. The natural looking honey-blond stain is a fetching finish and all this goes for a price only Savinelli manages to offer.
