About This Pipe
A lovely display of mixed grain patterns takes shape in the briar of this smooth heeled Billiard. Plato taught that through the contemplation of physical beauty, we might further understand spiritual beauty; in that spirit the Florentine painter, Botticelli, painted "The Birth of Venus". The long lineage of Western philosophy and art, especially that of Renaissance artists inspires many of Savinelli's series of pipes. And certainly the gorgeous hue of the honey-blond stain and high gloss finish of the new 'Venere" series is no exception. As vivid flame grain takes up the left side of the bowl, while the right is filled with birdseye.
