About This Pipe
Taking the neoclassical tendency to produce bold, full heels to an extreme, This Picta Magritte can't help but bring to my mind images of a bullfrog puffing up its air-sack - admittedly a rather odd image to relate to a briar pipe. As much of an oddball as the form might appear, it is in fact quite wonderful in hand, the broad heel presenting all the more rusticated surface to stimulate your fingers as they curl about it. not to mention that this shape also sits fantastically to boot.
