About This Pipe
This large, intriguing blowfish has subtle hints of the languid stretch that is associated with Toku-san's "Maguro", but the carving is still very much within the category of a "fighting fugu". The edges are bold, clean, quite knife like, while the side panels display a balancing softness. The cross cut grain and birdseye of this pipe are astonishing, even allowing for the fact the pipe is a two snail grade.
