About This Pipe
This is only the third "Image of Leaf" created by Japanese master Hiroyuki Tokutomi, and the only one that we have offered for public sale. From the underside view, one can see a ridge that represent the central vein. The left and right panels represent the two sides of the leaf that surround the central vein. Through amazing slight-of-hand, Toku creates a mount that appears as a perfect leaf from direct rear view, and then takes on a knife like appearance from the side. As you would expect from a Two Snail grade, the grain is staggering.
