About This Pipe

Meticulously crafted from briar bequeathed by the late Swedish legend Bo Nordh, this form stands at a gateway between two worlds. While the overarching composition is decidedly Nihon in flavor, there is a greater restraint of overt organicism than one often sees in Tokutomi's pipes. There is also more than just a tiny nod towards utilizing an architecturally inspired anchor within the shank to form a counterpoint against the subtle stretch of the bowl. In many places, the density and brocade-like finesse of the grain strain credulity. Any acquisition from Toku-san is special. To acquire a work crafted from this irreplaceable material.
