About This Pipe
Elegant sweeping lines define the bottom curvature of this piece, extending from the button to the rim at the front of the bowl. This sort of central line is key to the horn shape, or this dublin with horn-like lines. The line of the top of the shank and bowl is much more dublin-like with a more radical shift from shank to bowl. The grain is quite impressive, with straight grain right the way around the bowl, terminating into tight birdseye on the rim. The mastodon ivory insert in the stem is the perfect touch, contrasting with the dark stained bowl and jet black vulcanite stem, tying the entire composition together.
