About This Pipe
A charming little number which shows pretty clearly the Danish influence on Japanese pipemaking, this Tsuge presents us with an Acorn design flowing through shank and stem, yet ending in quite a solidly compact little style of bowl. Fittingly, it's finished a warm bengal contrast stain, a style of finish popular in the Danish school itself, and for good reason - it goes perfectly with such smooth, seamless line and form as seen here.
