Mystery Cigar Review: September 2023
Welcome to another enigmatic episode of our continuing series: The Mystery Cigar Review. Today, Shane, Alan, and I are smoking a mystery submission from Jon Huber of Crowned Heads cigars. Jon went from being a fitness instructor and personal trainer in Los Angeles to discovering his passion for cigars, becoming Director of Promotions and Public Relations at CAO International in Nashville. He spent 14 years there, learning more about cigars than should fit into anyone's mind, and after the company was sold, in 2010 he and three other CAO alumni launched Crowned Heads, taking inspiration from the music that invigorates their home city of Nashville. Today, Jon challenges us with a very special cigar, impressive right out of the cellophane. Will we recognize its components and perhaps even its identity? See for yourself by watching to the exciting conclusion.
What is The Mystery Cigar Review?
For those unfamiliar with this little game, each month one member of our team — or sometimes an honored guest Inquisitor — selects a cigar for us to review in a blind taste-test. Then we gather around the camera, scratch our heads, and smoke, all while attempting to guess the mysterious mixture's components, origins, and, when we're lucky, its name. There's only one rule: There are no rules.
