Mystery Tobacco Review: February 2023

Welcome back, everyone, to the Mystery Tobacco Review. For our second episode of 2023, we were honored to host a very special guest: Erik Stokkebye. Building on three generations of tobacco experience, Erik continues his family's tradition with the 4th Generation brand, whose portfolio ranges from beautifully made briar pipes to gorgeous leather accessories and a great selection of both tinned and bulk pipe tobacco. Tune in as Truett, Alan, David, and I smoke through a bowl of Erik's chosen blend and attempt to guess its manufacturer, components, and name. Did we get it right? Or did Erik leverage his multi-generational expertise and teach us a thing or two? Watch the full video to find out.

What is The Mystery Tobacco Review?

For those of you unfamiliar with this little game, each month one member of our team selects a tobacco for us to review in a blind taste-test. Then we gather around the camera, scratch our heads, and smoke, all while attempting to guess the mysterious mixture's components, origins, and name. There's only one rule: There are no rules.

    • Not much of a mystery this time, as you said they don't have many flakes to choose from. Sounds like great blend all the same though!
