This pipe looks absolutely beautifully sitting on my desk. Well...it's not really sitting, but wobbling. The front of this pipe is wide and round, like a boat, and the mass wobbles around and around with a gentle spin until it rests with the shank pointing directly up in the air and stem curved at the most elegant of angles. The briar is thick enough all the way around the bowl to do this while lit, but I wouldn't want to risk scratching the convex surface on just any table. No; this gentle dance is best done on a very clean, flat, smooth surface while empty. A true sculpture, it looks divine from every angle.
