About This Pipe
This cute straight apple is a wonderful example of Former's subdued and traditional aesthetic. There are no extraneous lines or adornments distracting from the beauty of this simple and elegant form. The bowl is nicely spherical, perfectly symmetrical and is mated to a round, non-tapering shank, something Former tends to do with saddle bits but not all that often when finished with a conventional bit. The totally results in a composition that, at least to my mind, embodies the compact straight apple shape.
