About This Pipe

Emil Chomowitsch is the father of Jess Chomowitsch, one of the most collectible carvers on the planet. There are differences between the two makers. Emil's pieces tend to be more standard classics, and often thin shanks. The stems are made differently, but the name "Chonowitsch" still means good stuff. This is a lovely Billiard and would be great for any collection.

Someone is bound to ask (I know I have), how to tell the difference between a Jess and an Emil. The stamp. Chonowitsch is stamped in a straight line on Emil's pieces. The only time Jess does this is on a bamboo shank. Otherwise, Jess always has his name stamped in a circle format.
