About This Pipe
The eagle/phoenix/dragon claw grasping a bowl is a classic design when it comes to meerschaum pipes. Not so much, however, when it comes to briars - which is understandable, given how immensely more stubborn a material the hardy desert wood is when it comes to carving. Nonetheless, that didn't stop Dorelio Rovera from trying his hand at recreating the theme in briar, and, from the look of things, succeeding.
