About This Pipe
The Caminetto New Dear finish has been around for quite a while. It was originally inspired by the Castello Epocha, and the method of using chisels to create the novel exteriors, moved on to Caminetto when Pepino Ascorti and Gigi Radice left Castello to start their own firm. When Gigi left Caminetto, a modified version went with him (now called "Underwood"). While no Caminetto finish is ever limited to to a specific shape or size, I am far more used to seeing the New Dear applied to the famous Caminetto bent eggs and billiards. Personally, I think it looks smashing on this straight dublin and would like to see it appear on this type of shape more often.
