About This Pipe
Tomasso Spanu shapes pipes completely by hand. Pieces of briar like this just don't grow on trees ya know (but they kind of grow under them). The application of a plate of horn on the rim is expertly done, and I'm happy to see that it didn't warp or crack in all of this time. I can't even imagine how many carvers would shape something from this same block and stamp it their highest grade.
