About This Pipe
Time for some research: The band is stamped 14K 1/40 R.G. This is not gold plated, but instead "filled" 14 karat gold is applied to the base metal, then rolled out, resulting in 14 karat gold that is 1/40th the weight of the metal. It's more durable than gold plating, but care must still be taken upon buffing. Now that the research is done, we're left with a really nice billiard with two fills on the bowl. This is every bit a nice looking pipe.
