Supposing that there may be some clever witticism behind why Adam Davidson decided to name this pipe ‘Adam’s Apple’ I decided to approach him on the matter. I think I imagined a lengthy explanation on this. Consequently I was surprised to find myself laughing at his response.
‘Adam, why did you call this pipe “Adam’s Apple”? ’ I had asked without trepidation. And as if he were prepared for such a line of questioning he said,
‘Because every man should have one.’
I’d have to agree. It’s a lovely pipe, small yet masculine, the piece is masterfully sandblasted and stained in reds and browns evocative of the season. Touché Mr. Davidson!
