The shaping of this superb lovat is a magnificent example of an American Second Wave take on a classic shape. Jeff has a great personal love of the billiard, and all of that shape's variants, and works tirelessly toward their creation and perfection. Clean of line and exquisite of proportion, Jeff coaxes out a delightfully subtle cross cut grain on the front and back of the bowl, and the sides are dotted with blasted birdseye. What could be a more perfect ending to this lovat than a short-throw saddle bit, complete with a large band of mastodon ivory?
