About This Pipe
When I think of pipes that tend to display forward momentum, two makers come principally to mind: Paolo Becker, and the Roveras of Ardor. Generally, Paolo's momentum is subtly implied, Ardor's is flat out bold. This pipe would be a fine example. The bowl has a forward cant, with a strong backwards swoop to the fore of the heel. The shank has a strong flare, as it moves away from the bowl, with the principle flaring at the top. The bit contributes to the arc and "contrail", with a flash of silver augmenting the effect.
