About This Pipe
Benni Jorgensen reserves the Swan stamp for the very best of his work. Given that the swan (Mute Swan, to be precise) is the national bird of Denmark, the choice for the Danish master is both charming and logical. This swan has one of the more intriguing bowl shapes that I have seen in awhile. Rim view (here's when a bit of "object as Rorschach" comes in)reminds me a bit of a Dali-esque arrowhead melting, while each side view provides flights of fancy of their own. The grain is lovely. but what else would one expect from a "swan"?
