Smooth Bent Egg with Bamboo Tobacco Pipe

Diffuse pin-pricks of ostrich quill on the back of the bowl disappear into the briar, emerging on the front as a vast expanse of dazzling birdseye. Visually connecting this "disparity of dots" is a fine crosscut grain on the sides of the bowl and shank. The cream of the four knuckle bamboo is an excellent complement to the vibrant bengal of the stain.
