About This Pipe
A time honored shape and stain that took its first metaphorical breaths with the birth of Castello in 1947. All of the Castello signatures are here, from a compositionally robust bowl to the famous tapered shank. As far as the grain goes? Given that I would be the first one to opine when I feel a pipe has been under graded, fairness requires that I let you know when I think the grade over reached a bit. Personally, I think a KK or a KKK would have done the job just fine.
