About This Pipe
Yep, we called this one a billiard. I started to correct the title (which is created before I get the pipe), but then I realized that I didn't really have a better shape name for it. Some of Castello's best shapes (this one included, plus that weird, but ever so cool, little pug-nosed bent pot of sorts, the '55', also) just don't fit cleanly in any standard shape category. This one is almost bell shaped, reminding me of Peterson (though the shapes couldn't be more different aside from both looking a bit like inverted bells). The light stained rustication, completed by the smooth rim is beautiful. Finished artfully with a jet black acrylic stem, this is one of those pipes that really gets the Castello aficionados all hot and bothered.
