Smooth Bent Rocker (CCCC) Tobacco Pipe

This savagely grained Cavicchi boasts a couple of lesser seen features. The first is the shape; Claudio doesn't due a lot of shapes that include on overt panel, and when he does one, it sure the heck doesn't extend down the entire front of the bowl and bottom of the shank, to create an incredibly stable rocker! The other is the use of of cross cut and birdseye (I'll grant you that a superbly wrought "Danish" shape more or less demands an equally impressive cross & birdseye, but it's still very cool to encounter it). With the exception of conservative panel billiards, I have never felt that panels were all that comfortable in the paw. This stunning rocker is a definite exception, my hand taking to it like my doberman to his new bed. Being a CCCC grade, the grain (of course) is exemplary.
