Smooth Elephants Foot with Bamboo (CCC) Tobacco Pipe

With birdseye neatly contained on the forward face, gathering in smaller number on the upper part of the aft, and perfectly shape-aligned straight grain everywhere else, this bamboo-stemmed Cavicchi elephant's foot is a very fine piece of briar indeed. Although some pipmakers might have tried to show off as much as possible by using a high-contrast stain, and perhaps black or lacquered bamboo, Claudio instead went with a much softer and muted composition, and the result is all the more beautiful for it.
