About This Pipe
With such interesting shaping, marked by the curiously Danish continuity from the front of the bowl through the transition to a cumberland stem which trails at a rather higher angle than its slight curvature would suggest, it is surprising to see this natural sandblast rated only a "DD". My only suspicion is that a third "D" was denied mainly due to a bit of asymmetry in the otherwise excellent grain towards the front of the bowl. Regardless of grading, this is a beautiful, natural-finished, uniquely-formed briar.
