Amber Root (3103) (2002) Tobacco Pipe

Dunhill's Amber Root is one of my favorite finishes - a classic deep, reserved dark walnut with a subtle warmth and glow about it. That it is perfectly suited to Dunhill's very traditionalist English style goes without saying, of course. What must be said, however, is that it is all the more beautiful when paired to such a fine piece of briar as this "03" Billiard, where it gently coaxes out the best qualities of the wings of driven flame grain found on either of the bowl's flanks.
