Sandblasted Lovat Tobacco Pipe

Currently, the Lovat shape is my favorite. I've got three that I'm smoking daily. They're comfortable in the mouth, usually light weight, and most importantly, as Adam puts it, 'the Lovat is one of the most elegant pipe shapes'. This particular Lovat by American pipe maker Brad Pohlmann is no exception to these sentiments. Here Brad has hand turned a truly classic looking Billiard-style bowl and then transitioned it masterfully into a lengthy, perfectly round shank. And if that wasn't stylish enough, Brad's stained the sandblasted briar to a near jet-black, leaving only a millimeter of smooth auburn wood at the shank face exposed for a charming touch. Even just the stem on this pipe is enough to get me hot and bothered. It's a small bit, cozy for sure, and it tapers from the saddle with smooth leisure. The button is immaculately well done. The funnel has been artfully executed to perfection. I think I'm in love.
