About This Pipe
Though labeled "freehand" this style of bent Billiard, wherein the briar's natural plateau is placed along the underside, terminating in a jutting heel, is actually found amongst several pipemakers of the Italian school. That is to say, although it has no specific, recognized nomenclature, it is a design theme that is accepted enough that we do see it repeated. Here Radice cuts a fine example, flowing, deeply-bent, and with the sharp plateau complimented by a rugged rusticated finish.
