One of Randy Wiley's heavier, fuller, this egg-like freehand has a reassuring mass and solidity to it, both visually and in hand. The gentle curve of the bowl is accented by both it's separation from the stem, achieved by a stepped transition, and the rustic profile of the sharp plateau. Plenty of flame grain throughout makes for a surface to match the complex shape, and the warm auburn stain brings it out with a subtle beauty.
