About This Pipe
The backwards-leaning poise of this bent billiard was chosen well - it makes the most of the great fan of flame grain across the front of the bowl when left "sitting". A more subtle, but equally effective element is the slight spur that runs to the heel of the bowl, a continuation of the flattened underside of the stem. This is the result, of course, of the bowl itself having been lifted slightly above the level of the flat, as opposed to simply flattened the underside of the bowl's own shape. The result is a beautiful sitter whose bowl is unusually uninterrupted in form.
