About This Pipe
Certainly one of the most conventional of pipes to wear a Picta stamp, the second series of Pictas are inspired by the art of Belgian surrealist Rene Magritte, and this pipe in particular was inspired by the painting "Il Lume Filosofico" (The Light of Philosophy) which was painted in 1936. The grain of this Picta Magritte "02" is a superlative combination of straight and flame for a virtual 360 degrees around the bowl and, like all but one of the Magritte pipes, comes with a sterling mount with Magritte's trademark doves emblazoned upon it.
