Crown Smooth Freehand (200) Tobacco Pipe

Classified as a "freehand," this pipe has elements of an acorn, dublin and panel. The lines throughout the bowl are rounded and mostly smooth, giving an almost human-like quality to this bowl. Meaning, this bowl almost looks like a human face. There is a jaw line, nose line, and hell, even the upper rim, with its slight bend and plateaued top, gives the impression of a hairline. The vertical flame grain is just downright impressive and I love the rectangular nature of the short shank. Very cool pipe whose human nature almost demands a name. But alas, I'll refrain from naming because I know this won't last long. And it's very hard to say goodbye to something you've named.
