About This Cigar

A vintage Cuban cigar band, Perla del Mar, which translates to "The Pearl of the Sea," was resurrected by J.C. Newman in 2012. Rolled in Newman's PENSA factory in Nicaragua, the Perla del Mar Shade cigar is composed of an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper and Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos, culminating in a medium-bodied smoke that's balanced and relaxed. The blend offers tasting notes of cream and wood to entice and please the palate.

Magnificent cigar - this vitola is my favorite. I admire that I can V-cut this cigar and the wrapper always stays intact. Exquisite flavor, and always a great draw. Mellow flavors but not boring - the complexities are there but subtle, making for a very smooth draw. The cigar is well-crafted and the box pressing adds to how nice it feels in your hand.
