Combined with a whisper of silver tequila and elderflower, the natural Black Locust honey complements these specially selected varietal tobaccos, elevating their fruity and floral notes for a bright, refreshing character and a creamy, rounded finish.

Better air freshener than pipe tobacco.

This stuff is just about the best smelling but also the weakest pipe tobacco I've ever smoked. When I opened a tin I've had since release (FOMO got me at my most foolish), I was floored by the smell. My wife said she'd want it to scent her office. I agree- something between berries, honey, spices, and 1800 tequila. The smell is amazing. But my good tidings end there. Why? This stuff is so gosh darned WEAK. The flavor amounts to sugar water and hot air. Even on the weakest cadence I reserve for my beloved 1792 flake, yielded little better- some cereal notes, a bit of bread, a whisper of honey. But that was it. Underwhelming. Then there was the nicotine; nonexistent. Not only was the flavor little different from air, but I received little buzz to show for it. I found myself adding dark fired Kentucky, long cut perique, and dark Burley just to feel something. (Shockingly good condiment mixture for this stuff.) This stuff bites more than my mother in-law's chihuahua, is more bland than a wine mom's politics, and gives the unbridled punch of my 5 year old daughter wearing sock-em' boppers. The freshly popped tin, aged 2 years, has a strong aroma of apricot. Might benefit from a little drying time as it does come quite moist, but you can load and light it as is. First light delivers hints of honey and hay, as does the first third along with fragrant, woody, Orientals, and notes of stone fruits, and a pleasant sweetness. The second third continues the same with the high notes of hay and honey taking a backseat, and more bass notes of wood and stone fruits, growing depth. The final third may require a few relights, and the woody, fragrant Orientals become more dominant as the sweetness becomes more of an aftertaste. 5 out of 5 stars....Read More

I know this is a limited release, so the reviews don’t matter. The blend is excellent. A true five star. I’m really just posting two balance out the negative reviews that don’t pertain to the blend. Great work C&D. Everything is well balanced. A true all day smoke.

There's a lot of good reviews here. What I can add: It gets better after a short rest. I just finished my jar of Tupelo around a month ago, and opened the Locust. At first I was a little disappointed compared to the previous years, but a month later, I have no complaints.
